On the weekend we decided to drive up to Richmond, VA to take advantage of the sunshine and to do some shopping and take some casual pictures in the city. When we were wandering aimlessly around the streets of Richmond, we stumbled across the stunning Jefferson Hotel. We decided to have dinner here and prayed that their dress code wasn’t too strict and they would let us in, and luckily they did. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to take many pictures of the interior (except for the one I put up on my Instagram) as we parked ages away and left my SLR in the car, so the iPhone camera had to suffice! But it was one of those places where any picture would never do it justice, as the interior was so ornate and breathtaking and is something that really has to be seen in person.
It seems that our trip to NYC this weekend is off the cards (sniff), however we are planning on going the weekend after next. I really am looking forward to a change of scene and to absorb myself into the hustle and bustle of my favourite city of New York, and of course to do some shopping.
